From central Bogotá, we take public transport to el Verjón Paramo, located east of Bogotá, at 3200 meters above sea level. At the páramo, we'll hike for 4 to 6 hours and visit Lake Teusaca, which was sacred to the indigenous people who lived in Bogotá before the Spanish conquest, and even discover a secret waterfall! This hike offers a great opportunity to visit an ecosystem which is fundamental to Colombia's biodiversity - 80% of the country's water originates in the paramos - but is threatened by mining, pollution, and other causes.
Pour la visite en groupe, qui dure 4 à 5 heures, présentez-vous à notre magasin un peu avant 10h30 ou 13h30. Pas besoin de réserver!
The tour includes:
Entrance to the natural reserve
Local snack and warm coffee in the mountain
